What is the Fun Walk?

The Fun Walk Trust, a registered, encourages participating charities to organise a sponsored walk during September, to raise money for their causes. The organising charity will add bonus funds over and above any money that is raised by participants! Further information can be found on their website.

What are we raising money for?

For our Fun Walk 2025, Beavers will be raising money for new target sport equipment; Cubs will be fundraising to subsidise outdoor laser tag, in the new year; and Scouts are raising money to contribute to Monopoly Run 2025!

With the extra contribution from the Fun Walk Trust, we'll be able to continue to make the adventures that we enjoy within Scouting affordable, enjoyable, and educational, supporting our goal of learning more #SkillsForLife.

We want to make sure that we maximise the sponsorship that our youth members and adult volunteers collect. For this reason, we are collecting donations directly via our bank account. In doing this, we avoid additional fees from JustGiving and other such providers.

How to Sponsor & Donate

Our recommended sponsorship is £5 per kilometre (as a group, we will be walking 2km on the following dates):

Tuesday 16 September (Cubs)
Saturday 27 September (Beavers)
Friday 26 September (Scouts)
