Our Volunteers
Our Scout Group is a registered charity and is overseen by Board of Trustees, which works alongside other dedicated volunteers from our local community to make sure that our members have access to as many opportunities as possible through Scouting.
Without our people, we would not be able to continue to provide the experiences members of our Group have enjoyed for over 60 years!
Our Section Teams
Our volunteers from each youth section (Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts) work together to deliver a Scouting experience to young people each week and throughout the academic term.
Within each team, we maintain the following roles:
- Team Leader
- Programme Support
- Event Support
- Badges & Awards
Events & Management Team
Working closely with our Board of Trustees, the Events and Management team looks after our premises and supports delivery of events for all of our youth members.
The Events and Management Team is structured flexibly, and gets involved in:
- Monthly maintenance days
- Building projects
- Budgeting and planning
- Group event planning
Board of Trustees
Meeting each academic term, our Board of Trustees makes sure that everything that we do is safe and sensible. Our trustees oversee the Scout Group in the following roles:
Group Chairperson
Group Secretary
Group Treasurer
Group Premises Manager
Group Lead Voluneer
Thinking about volunteering?
We have roles to suit adult volunteers of all ages and experience! From helping to keep our camping equipment in good condition to supporting our Trustees, every role in our Group provides value to our local community.
